Jana L. Hartnett

Ms. Hartnett concentrates her practice in family law, including divorce, conservatorship, guardianship and adoptions. She also handles matters in estate planning and probate, civil law and real estate. She has practiced in Galveston County as a private attorney since 1993, while also serving as a prosecutor for the City of Texas City for six of those years, as an Associate Judge for the City of Texas City for three of those years, and as an adjunct professor in continuing education and criminal justice for College of the Mainland.

Jana graduated from the University of Houston-Clear Lake with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1987 and earned her Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in 1993.

She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Galveston County Bar Association.

Donnie D. Quintanilla

Donnie D. Quintanilla

Born in Galveston and a lifetime resident of Galveston County, Mr. Quintanilla focuses his practice in criminal defense, DWI, juvenile, general civil and family law. He was distinguished as a “Rising Star” in the area of criminal defense in the 2010 Edition of Texas Monthly Magazine – Super Lawyers Edition.

He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, before earning his Juris Doctorate from Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University. In 2003, he began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney for Galveston County. In his first year with the District Attorney’s Office, he successfully tried numerous misdemeanor cases, including Driving While Intoxicated, Assault Causing Bodily Injury, and misdemeanor drug offenses. After 10 months he was quickly promoted to the felony division where he prosecuted and tried all types of felony cases, including Felony DWI, Aggravated Offenses, Credit Card Abuse, Sexual Assault, Murder, Burglary, and Motions to Revoke Probation.

As an Assistant District Attorney he gained trial and pretrial court room experience in handling all levels of criminal offenses which provided invaluable experience and knowledge when he went into private practice in 2006.

He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Galveston County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, College of the State Bar, Galveston County Bar Association, Galveston Chamber of Commerce, and Board of Director for the Resource and Crisis Center of Galveston County 2011-2013.

Thea G. Clark

Thea G. Clark

Born in Galveston and recently returning home as a resident of Galveston County, Ms. Clark focuses her practice in real estate and title matters, banking, business transactions and civil litigation.

Thea graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993 before earning her Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in 1996. Prior to returning to Galveston, Thea was the in-house legal counsel for the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office in Tampa, Florida. She retired after 17 years of service as the Sheriff’s Office Chief Legal Counsel. As an active litigator, her duties included providing legal representation to the Sheriff’s Office and its deputies in state, federal and appellate courts.

Thea has been a member of the State Bar of Texas and The Florida Bar since 1997.
