Patrick F. Doyle

Mr. Doyle concentrates his law practice in the area of real estate title insurance and title related matters, real estate document preparation, banking, corporate law, business planning and small business acquisitions.

His numerous years of community service and innovative youth programs while serving as Justice of the Peace – Precinct 5 proudly earned him the honor of being named One of the Five Outstanding Young Texans by the Texas Jaycees and Citizen of the Year by the TC/LM Chamber of Commerce in 2000. He was inducted into the Texas City ISD’s Hall of Honor in October of 2011 and was recently named Honorary Citizen of the Year by the Bolivar Chamber of Commerce. He also served two terms as the Galveston County Commissioner for Precinct 1. His annual fishing tournament has become legendary, raising nearly $500,000 for local charities. His non-profit entity has already purchased a 25-passenger bus for the senior citizens of Galveston County and is looking forward to purchasing another.

Mr. Doyle owns Texan Title Holdings, the parent company of a title insurance underwriter, Texan Title Insurance Company, and four title agencies: South Land Title, Prominent Title, Security Title, and Washington County Abstract. South Land has offices throughout the Houston metroplex and Bryan/College Station. Prominent Title is located in Austin, Security Title has four offices in the Abilene area, and Washington County Abstract is located in Brenham.

Mr. Doyle is a lifelong resident of Galveston County. He received his BBA in Finance from Texas Tech University in 1986. After a year in the banking industry, he chose to pursue a career in law. He received his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in 1990.

He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Galveston County Bar Association, Texas Bar Foundation and Texas Land Title Association.

Jana L. Hartnett

Jana L. Hartnett

Ms. Hartnett concentrates her practice in family law, including divorce, conservatorship, guardianship and adoptions. She also handles matters in estate planning and probate, civil law and real estate. She has practiced in Galveston County as a private attorney since 1993, while also serving as a prosecutor for the City of Texas City for six of those years, as an Associate Judge for the City of Texas City for three of those years, and as an adjunct professor in continuing education and criminal justice for College of the Mainland.

Jana graduated from the University of Houston-Clear Lake with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1987 and earned her Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in 1993.

She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Galveston County Bar Association.

Thea G. Clark

Thea G. Clark

Born in Galveston and recently returning home as a resident of Galveston County, Ms. Clark focuses her practice in real estate and title matters, banking, business transactions and civil litigation.

Thea graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993 before earning her Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in 1996. Prior to returning to Galveston, Thea was the in-house legal counsel for the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office in Tampa, Florida. She retired after 17 years of service as the Sheriff’s Office Chief Legal Counsel. As an active litigator, her duties included providing legal representation to the Sheriff’s Office and its deputies in state, federal and appellate courts.

Thea has been a member of the State Bar of Texas and The Florida Bar since 1997.

Dennis R. Bettison

Mr. Bettison brings invaluable experience to the firm in the areas of estate planning, probate, income taxation, business planning and real estate law. He is certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Estate Planning and Probate Law.

Mr. Bettison received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from the University of Texas and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Galveston County Bar Association, and Galveston Estate Planning Council.

Albert G. Redmond

Albert G. Redmond

Mr. Redmond brings more than 50 years of experience to the firm. He focuses his practice on the formation of business entities, probate and estates, residential and commercial real estate transactions and related document preparation.

Mr. Redmond received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas and his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law. He has served as an Assistant District Attorney for Galveston County and as a Chief Prosecutor for the City of Dallas.

He and Peter Sapio are the former owners of a Chicago Title office and moved their practice and business to the Doyle Law Firm and South Land Title in June 2018. Both are very involved with their clients and their respective transactions with the title company.

Peter J. Sapio, Jr.

Mr. Sapio has been practicing law for over 40 years. His primary practice is residential and commercial real estate transactions and related document preparation, probate and estates, and the formation of business entities. He and Albert Redmond practiced together for over 30 years and were fee attorneys with Houston Title and Chicago Title. He brings invaluable knowledge to the South Land Title team in Galveston.

Mr. Sapio is a BOI (Born on the Island) and lifelong Galvestonian. He received his Bachelor of Science with Honors from Stephen F. Austin State University and his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law. He was a member of the Dean’s Honor List and served as Assistant Editor of the South Texas Law Journal in 1977.

Mr. Adams serves as General Counsel for Texan Title Holdings and its subsidiary companies, Texan Title Insurance Company, South Land Title, Prominent Title, Security Title and Washington County Abstract. His practice focuses on business and corporate law, real estate and title matters, and mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Adams received his BBA in Accounting and Finance from Stephen F. Austin State University, an MS in Finance from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas.

Randal R. Seewald

Randal R. Seewald

Mr. Seewald serves as Vice President and Legal Counsel for South Land Title in Brazos County. He joined the South Land team in 2013 after spending 35 years as in-house counsel with USAA, retiring as General Counsel of USAA Real Estate Company in 2011.

Randy received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M University and his Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, as well as a member of the Champions Council, Athletic Ambassadors and is an Eppright Distinguished Donor of the 12th Man Foundation of Texas A&M University.

Bruce Goldston

Bruce Goldston

Bruce Goldston serves as Underwriting Counsel for Texan Title Insurance Company. He has more than 20 years experience in the title insurance industry, beginning in 1996 as Claims Counsel with Alamo Title. He has also served as Underwriting Counsel for major title companies, including Fidelity National Title and WFG National Title. Bruce is a native Texan and a graduate of Austin College and St. Mary’s University School of Law.
